Hot Sources (Grant Initiatives)
Our debut "HOT SOURCE" is actually a non-profit organization that assists both grant makers and GRANT SEEKERS (that's us). The Foundation Center's Mission is "to collect, organize, and communicate information on U.S. philanthropy; to conduct and facilitate research on trends in the field; to provide education and training on the grant seeking process; to ensure public access to information and services through our web site, print and electronic publications, five library/learning centers, and a national network of Cooperating Collections." We invite you to explore the many links available. Following are two links that we found especially helpful.
The grant maker website provides four distinct directories of links (private, corporate grant makers, grant making public charities, and community foundations), to help those in search of grants.

The Foundation Center even has short learning courses that provide guidance for grant seekers on how to write their proposals (while in search of money to assist during their research). The website allows grant seekers to understand the components of a proposal, so the grant seekers can be on their way to finding the grant money that is needed.
