Senior Recital

Tenor Michael Fausto will perform his senior recital at 8 p.m. Oct. 24 at the La Verne Church of the Brethren, located at the corner of E Street and Bonita Avenue. Admission is free. For more information, visit laverne.edu/academics/arts-sciences/music/concert.

Film Screening

La Verne Community Television will host a free screening of the winning entries from the My Home Town Video Contest at 7 p.m. Saturday in ACB 212. For more information, call 909-392-2731 or email lvtv@laverne.edu.

Brand New

After a two-year hiatus, Brand New will release its fourth studio album “Daisy” and perform Oct. 17 at the Hollywood Palladium, located at 6215 W. Sunset Blvd. in Los Angeles. Admission is $26.50 in advance, and $29 at the door. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Opening for Brand New are the Builders and the Butchers and Manchester Orchestra. ‘Veronica’

The Nicholas Gallery at Pitzer College is showing “Veronica” now through Dec. 11. The exhibit features the works of female artists from the United States, Germany and the Netherlands, showcasing work involving examinations of cultural guideposts. Admission is free and suitable for all ages. For more information, visit www.pitzer.edu/offices/galleries/.
