Athletic training
The Athletic Training Program has been granted continuing national accreditation by the Commission of Accreditation of Athletic Training Education through 2019. The accreditation recognizes the quality of the faculty, staff, students and alumni of the ATEP after submission of a lengthy self-study and subsequent on-site visit last spring.
Major workshop
Workshops will be held Oct. 22 and Nov. 10 from 4-5 p.m. in the West Dining Room to help students in the major selection process. A free dinner will be included for students without a meal plan. Spaces are limited and reservations are required. For more information e-mail ccervantes@laverne.edu.
Preview Day
Prospective students and families are welcomed to experience all that the University of La Verne has to offer. The event will be held on Oct. 17 and Nov. 14 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m at the Campus Center.

Communications Day
Communications Day will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 23 in the Arts and Communications Building. Fox 11 anchor Carlos Amezcua will deliver a keynote address at 11:30 a.m. in the Ludwick Conference Center in the Campus Center.
Taste of La Verne
The La Verne Chamber of Commerce will throw its annual Taste of La Verne event from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Sierra La Verne Country Club. Tickets are $30. For more information call 909-593-5265.
