‘Death in the El Valle’

The Honors Program will have C.M. Hardt as a guest to screen and answer questions about her film called “Death in El Valle.” Hardt’s film is about her grandfather’s suspected assassination during Franco’s Spain. The event will be from 2:20 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 2 in the President’s Dining Room. The event is open to the public. University closed

The University of La Verne will be closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 26-27, for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Information session

Students can learn how to earn a bachelor’s or graduate degree at the main campus or one of La Verne’s regional campuses through evening or weekend classes. The session will be held on Dec. 3 from 10 a.m.-noon.For more information visit laverne.edu/forms/information-session.

Registration beginning

Spring registration will begin for seniors on Dec. 1. Underclassmen can check MyLaverne to see when they are eligible to begin registering. Students must schedule an academic advising meeting with their adviser to get the mandatory approval code.

Winter concert

The New University Chorale and Chamber Singers, under the direction of Stephen Gothold, will perform its winter concert from 7:30-9 p.m. Dec. 5 at the La Verne Church of the Brethren.

Vaccine clinic

The Inland Valley Human Society will host a vaccine clinic for pets from 7 p.m to 8 p.m. on Dec. 2 at its main office, 500 Humane Way in Pomona.For more information, call 909-623-9777.
