Pat Widolff, professor of movement and sport sciences, commented that the track does not just look bad but poses an injury risk to all people using the track. Once the original First Street, it is now covered by the southwestern part of the track in Ortmayer Stadium. It has acquired drainage problems making it unusable for track events.
