Seth Kaufman

Seth Kaufman’s solo exhibit will be shown through Thursday at the Harris Art Gallery. The exhibit is a series of sculptures created from unusual objects and includes Kaufman’s self portrait on one wall. Admission is free.

‘From the Car’

The Carlson Gallery will show “From the Car,” a black and white photography exhibition through today. The exhibit showcases photographs taken of passengers in cars during a daily commute by Los Angeles-based photographer Lillian Elaine Wilson. Admission is free.

Tokyo Police Club

Tokyo Police Club plays tonight at the Glass House in Pomona, with the opening acts Tygers of Wrath and The Shape of the Earth. Tickets are $16 and doors open at 7 p.m. For more information, visit theglasshouse.us.

Documentary Series

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences continues the Contemp­orary Documentaries series at 7 p.m. Wednesdays. The series features feature-length and short documentaries that were considered for 2009 Academy Award nominations. The filmmakers will be present at the screening whenever possible. The films will show at the Linwood Dunn Theater. Admission and parking are free. For more information, visit oscars.org.

Fuller Exhibit

The Mariam Miner Cook Athenaeum at Claremont McKenna College will play host to landscape watercolors created by James Fuller, professor emeritus at Scripps College through May 2011. For more information visit claremontmckenna.edu.
