Variety Show

There will be a Variety Show at 7:30 p.m. today in Morgan Auditorium. It will feature comedian Jim Tavaré, musician Kurt Scobie and spoken word artist Gabriela Garcia.

Pasadena Playhouse

For the first time, the Pasadena Playhouse will be selling $99 student subscriptions for their 2011-2012 season. This season includes the premiere of a brand new musical starring Angela Bassett. For more information visit pasadenaplayhouse.org.

Violin and Piano

Violinist Andrew McIntosh and pianist Gayle Blanenburg will be performing at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Bridges Hall of Music in Claremont. For more information call 909-607-2671.

Louise Gluck

Claremont McKenna College will host “An Evening with the Poet” at 6:45 p.m. Monday at the Marian Miner Cook Athenaeum. The featured poet for the evening will be Louise Gluck, author of “A Village Life” and “Averno.” For more information call 909-621-8244.

Sustainability Film Festival

Pomona College will have its second annual Sustainability Film Festival at 7 p.m. on April 5 at Rose Hills Theater. The double feature will be showing “Up the Yangtze” and “Red Dust.” For more information call 909-607-1765.
