Italian Culture
The University will honor Italian Heritage Month with a celebration in Davenport Dining Hall from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Oct. 13.
One Book, One University
The “One Book, One University” lecture series continues from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Oct. 11. in the Campus Center. Speakers William Cook and Sawsan Malla Hussein will be featured. The next lecture in the “One Book, One University” series will be on Oct. 18.
Football Pep Rally
The Movement and Sports Science department will hold a celebration of La Verne football at Ortmayer Stadium on Friday, prior to the team’s first home game at 1 p.m. Saturday against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. Free food and drinks will be served. T-shirts will be awarded to the first 200 guests.
Beyond Stereotypes
People from a variety of religious, spiritual and philosophical traditions will discuss their experiences with stereotypes on Thursday from 11:30 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Campus Center ballroom A. Pizza and drinks will be provided. This will be the first in a monthly series of conversations on multi-faith. These meetings will be held on the first Thursday of every month.
