‘American Dream’

Katherine Frey’s “Amer­ican Dream” photography exhibit, about the human effects of the Great Reces­sion, has been extended to Oct. 14 in the Carlson Gallery in Miller Hall.

Diane Rodriguez

The La Verne theater arts seminar will host artist, director, writer and performer Diane Rodriguez at 4 p.m. Thursday in the Jane Dibbell Cabaret. Rodriguez is an Obie award recipient for her multi-disciplinary theater art.

‘It Happened in Pomona’

The first “It Happened at Pomona” exhibition opens today featuring Hal Glicks­man at Pomona College Museum of Art. Glicksman established one of the first museum residency programs for artists who used the museum space to create unique environments within the museums themselves.

Claremont Art Walk

The monthly Claremont Art Walk is from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today on first street in the Claremont Village. Artists and musicians of all genres will be on hand for this free self-guided tour.

‘Frozen’

Pomona College’s Seaver Theatre will host a screening of the psychological thriller “Frozen” at 2 p.m. Saturday. For tickets, call 909-607-4375.

Glass House

Folk/punk artist Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls will perform at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Glass House. Other bands featured are Andrew Jackson Jihad and Into It, Over It. Tickets are $15 to $17.
