The deadline to see Katherine Frey’s “American Dream” photography exhibit has been extended through Homecoming weekend in the Carlson Gallery in Miller Hall.
909 Film Festival
The 909 Film Festival will feature short films made by young filmmakers who live in or make films set in the 909 area code. The event will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Oct. 28 in Room 212 of the Arts and Communications Building. For questions, contact 909-593-3511, ext. 4277.
The University of La Verne’s theatre Seminar will host writer and director television, film and theater, Julie Hebert on from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m Nov. 3 in the Jane Dibbell Cabaret Theater. Hebert’s award-winning work includes plays like “Almost Sleep” and TV shows like “ER” and “The West Wing.”
Yoko Ono Exhibit
Starting at 11 a.m. on Nov. 7, the Harris Art Gallery will be holding an exhibition of “Yoko Ono and John Lennon’s Year of Peace.” The exhibition will feature Ono’s avant-garde and popular art as well as a photo broadcast of the worldwide broadcast of the Beatles’ song “All You Need is Love.” For more information, contact Dion Johnson at firstname.lastname@example.org or at ext. 4273.
A matinee performance featuring scenes from “Bram Stoker’s Dracula” combined with scenes from “Swan Lake” will be performed at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bridges Auditorium in Claremont.
