Yoko Ono Exhibit
Yoko Ono and John Lennon’s “Year of Peace” exhibition will continue through Dec. 15 in the Harris Art Gallery. The exhibit focuses on the ideals of peace and love, and follows the work of Ono and Lennon as solo artists and as a couple. It also includes a selection of Ono’s recent avant-garde art. Tavo Olmos’s photography exhibit titled “Memory Space” is open through Dec. 9. The exhibition is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. or by appointment Monday through Friday in the Carlson Gallery in Miller Hall.
From 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. this Wednesday, the Ruth Chandler Williamson Gallery in Claremont will commemorate the life and work of artist Paul Soldner. The “Serendipity” exhibit will present rarely seen works by Soldner as well as other memorabilia.
Japanese Art Prints
Students of Scripps College will have their work on display from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. this Thursday and Friday in the Clark Humanities Museum in Claremont in an exhibit titled “Untamed Passions.” The show will primarily feature work inspired by the ancient Japanese “Tale of Genji.”
Pomona Art Walk
All day on Nov. 26, the Pomona Art Walk will feature more than three dozen galleries holding receptions for their latest exhibits. Many shops, studios and restaurants will remain open late for the festivities.
