Occupy La Verne will be holding a rally from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Dec. 8. Bon Appetit will be catering an outdoor lunch during the demonstration at Sneaky Park. Following the rally, a teach-in will be held in the President’s Dining Room to educate about the reasons behind the Occupy movement.
Spotted Pig Round-up
Students who bring their spotted pig banks filled with change from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m on Tuesday in Sneaky Park will receive a free lunch. Those who do not have spotted pigs can receive lunch for a minimum donation of $5 and receive a pig at the event.
The Campus Activities Board will hold a celebration featuring the winter holidays from a range of faiths at 10 p.m. on Monday in the Campus Center Lobby. Free food, holiday crafts, christmas carolers and seasonal decorations will be available for everyone’s enjoyment. The first 300 students to arrive at the event will receive a free holiday snow globe.
From 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Dec. 6 Corrine Hinton, director of Learning Enhancement Center, will help students produce a quality research paper in 10 days. The workshop will be held in the Campus Center 225.
Alumni Board Meeting
The University of La Verne Alumni Governing Board will hold its regular meeting for alumni from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday in the President’s Dining Room.
