‘The Agony of Colin Powell’

Dailey Theatre will host performances of Ralph Soldana’s senior directing thesis “The Agony of Colin Powell” at 7:30 p.m. April 19 and 20. Written by Professor of English William Cook, the play is a dramatic monologue in one act. It is a fictitious portrayal of a person in spiritual and emotional pain confronting his dark night of the soul. Tickets are $5 for general admission and $3 for students.


French musician Anthony Gonzalez’ experimental musical act M83 will perform at 9 p.m. April 12 at the Fox Theatre in Pomona. Also performing will be Big Black Delta, the solo project of Mellowdrone’s vocalist and bassist Jonathan Bates. Doors open at 8 p.m. Advance tickets sales are $25 or $28 at the door with a two-ticket limit.

‘Contemporary Documentaries’

At 7 p.m., April 4, at the Linwood Dunn Theater in Hollywood, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will continue its 30th annual “Contemp­orary Docu­mentaries” series. This installment of the series will feature screenings of Oscar-nominated documentary short subjects “Poster Girl” and “Killing in the Name” and the documentary feature “Quest for Honor.”

Pomona Art Walk

The Pomona Arts Colony will host its semi-monthly art walk from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday in Downtown Pomona. They are held the second and last Saturday of the month. Admission is free. For more information visit
