Joy Song Thompson played the cello at “No Ordinary Women,” a Mother’s Day Celebration Concert in Morgan Auditorium Sunday. Thompson began playing at 12-years-old and studied at the Juilliard School. She was accompanied by artist-in-residence, Grace Xia Zhao on piano and violinist Alex Russell. The concert also featured soprano Courtney Huffman. / photo by Cassandra Egan
