“Visible” is a group exhibition in the Harris Gallery featuring Los Angeles artists Joel Biel, Patrick Lee, Mark Dean Veca and Eric Yahnker. Veca and Yahnker draw upon pop culture figures to create visual absurdities, while Lee and Biel focus on head shot portraits. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The exhibit runs through Thursday.
For one night only, Theatre On-Stage will perform “The Romancers” by Edmond Rostand, directed by Zachary Green. The performance starts at 10 p.m. Wednesday at Dailey Theatre. For reservations, call 909-593-3511, ext. 4386.
A faculty recital will feature senior adjunct violin instructor Danielle Cummins on violin, Benjamin Coyte on cello and Kevin Mills on piano. The recital starts at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 19 in Morgan Auditorium. Admission is free.
The next exhibit in the Carlson Gallery will be a collaborative project between photography and writing called “Dissent.” Students from Associate Professor of Writing Sean Bernard’s course, Writing the 21st Century, will write stories to accompany work from 25 photography department alumni. The exhibit runs from Oct. 22 to Dec. 7. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. A reception will be held Nov. 1 at 6 p.m.
High Tides will perform with Django’s Tiger and The Leviation Room. Local artists will be featured. Show starts at 6 p.m., Saturday at the Mosaic Loft in Pomona. Admission is free.
