Spooners opens for business

With a change in management came a change in name. The location that formerly housed Angel’s place, a greek restaurant, now features Spooners. Spooners is the new restaurant on D Street in La Verne. Service here is terrible, took 20 mins to get a water! I was there an hour and got my food 45 mins into my visit, which left me 10 mins to eat. They have one waitress, who is not attentive at all. Food is Ok.

I like the food! kinda pricy though. The waiters and waitresses are nice people, however it gets busy at lunch time so be prepared to wait. This isn’t a fast-food place, it’s a restaurant.

DO NOT EAT HERE!!!This was such a disgusting experience I just had to post a review. The cook kept cleaning his nose with his bare hand and kept handling food. Our silverware had caked on food. The service is terrible. The food is below average. The chinese owner is a douche. The menu says one thing and we got charged something different. He just claimed to not speak english when we tried to dispute the bill. PLEASE STOP SUPPORTING THIS HORRIBLE PLACE. FINGERS CROSSED SPOONERS GOES OUT OF BUSINESS SOON!!!

The food here is say the least “Awesome!”. I’ve never experienced such delicious food in La Verne since attending college here. Not quite sure where the complaints come from but to my understanding this is not a fast food joint. If I needed a quick meal I would go to McDonalds or Panda Express if I wanted a meal within 5 mins. Lunch time does get really busy so sometimes there is a wait to get the food, but in my opinion is worth the wait. The owners have all been great to me and sometimes will give me a little extra to test the menu. And to the above comment hoping that Spooners will go out of business?!?!?! That’s like wishing someone to die, obviously did not take and ethics course…..Keep up the good work Spooner’s!
