I read with interest the well versed comments about how easy it is to “sneak into” Davenport by having someone open the back gate (“Too easy to eat free at Davenport,” Nov.1). But, is that really the problem? Isn’t the problem that those students think their classmates should pay for their lunch? If I were a student paying good money for a meal card, would I think it was fair that my costs went up because others did not think they should pay for their lunch or dinner? This may seem funny to those who get away with it, but do they realize that their behavior is hurting their fellow students as well as showing very little sense of honor?
