Kristine Delgadillo wrote a very nice article about the Hillcrest Good Samaritan Dinner on March 7, a wonderful yearly fundraiser. However, the dinner did not “save Hillcrest” (“Musical fundraiser saves Hillcrest,” March 14). Hillcrest is a remarkable retirement community and one I’m extremely proud to be associated with as a committee member and volunteer. The Good Samaritan Fund does not support Hillcrest; it enables Hillcrest to fulfill its promise to residents that they will not be forced to leave if their financial circumstances change. That is part of our values and commitment to our residents. I just wanted to point out the, I’m sure, unintended error in the title of the article.
