Rhodessa Jones entered Garrison Theater at Scripps College as a devil-type character to begin her performance of “Life on the Swerve: Observations from That Place Where the World Ends” on Tuesday.

The volleyball team high-fived and enjoyed themselves on their way to another win with a triumph over Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Saturday at Ted Ducey Gymnasium on the Claremont McKenna College campus.

On Wednesday Leo Hall, the Barkley Building and the Barkley Annex were evacuated after the contractor working on renovations to Leo Hall hit the natural gas main line behind the building.

The University of La Verne’s One Book, One University program continued with the “Teaching, Living and Learning After 9/11” panel which featured President Devorah Lieberman and University Chaplain Zandra Wagoner.

The 2011 cross country season is under way and La Verne’s team is on a mission to continue the improvement they have experienced under the direction of head coach Michael Atwood.
