The Associated Students of the University of La Verne hosted Justin Jones-Fosu who brought his interactive speaking skills to life through his inspirational lecture “Lead like an ACTion HERO.”

“Welcome back week” began with a laugh as crowds of students gathered in the Campus Center Ballroom to watch comedian Dillon Garcia.

Taking inspiration from the Marilyn Monroe movie “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes,” three gentlemen, The Cat, the Hag, and the Longstreet performed their show titled “Blondes Prefer Gentlemen” in Morgan auditorium on Saturday.

Lynn Stanton-Riggs, associate professor of education, led the faculty lecture on “Parenting and Teaching Our Children” Nov. 19 in the President’s Dining Room.

The Rose Trio filled Morgan Auditorium with melodic music Nov. 8. The trio consists of three violinists: Sarah Wallin Huff, Irene Shiao and adjunct professor of music Danielle Cummins.

On a cold misty Saturday morning dozens of people gathered in Sneaky Park for the University of La Verne’s Athletic Training Education Program’s 5K Fun Run.

The men’s water polo team lost to the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Stags 15-6 Saturday morning at the La Verne Aquatics Center. But La Verne fans cheered as the Leopards went on to beat Mt. San Antonio College, 17- 13, later that day.

To celebrate World Food Day, ASULV President Ava Jahan­vash brought to campus a Ugandan farmer to talk about the issues of climate change and food security.
