The University of La Verne has received a nearly $900,000 National Science Foundation Grant for scholarships and internships. The money will be distributed by the La Verne Noyce Teacher Scholars Program, which provides up to $15,000 a year for students who are interested in teaching biology, mathematics, chemistry and physics.

Marlon Sano, a former United States Olympic volleyball team assistant coach who most recently coached at Cal State Los Angeles, has taken over the reins of the women’s volleyball team.

Students, faculty and staff came together on Sept. 17 to celebrate Constitution Day at the University of La Verne. The event included three readings of the Constitution in Sneaky Park with 30 participants.

Eight teams are participating in the first intramural dodgeball tournament of the year, organized by the Campus Activities Board.
