CA Senate approves assault bill

The California State Senate last week unanimously approved a bill to require the state’s colleges and universities to implement an “affirmative consent” standard for dealing with sexual assault cases. Transformer explosion causes evacuations, power outages

A transformer at the Oaks residence hall parking lot behind Barkley Building blew up in two explosions Thursday afternoon causing power outages and evacuations across the east side of campus.
