During Saturday’s first game of two against Cal Lutheran at Wheeler Park, senior second baseman Tara Allis fields the ground ball to throw the runner out at first base. The Leopards split the doubleheader, falling 1-0 in the first game and then returning to tarnish the Regals’ crown 8-0 because of the mercy rule. The softball team celebrated Senior Day, which honors the careers of its graduating players, on April 22. After winning their last home game of the season, teammates gave gifts and exchanged warm stories to honor the five graduating seniors: Delaney Baylor, Mandy Brenner, Lisa Neu, Ashley Paul and Kaitlin Ward.
