The men’s water polo team dominated Caltech, but fell short to Chapman on Saturday at Las Flores Park.

Coming off a great win over Occidental, the football team rolled into Saturday’s game looking to emulate that success and earn a win over Cal Lutheran but came up short and suffered a 52-17 defeat.

The La Verne Leopards crushed the Caltech Beavers Wednesday at Frantz Athletic Court in a quick three-set sweep, 25-4, 25-12 and 25-14.

Despite a late goal, it was too little too late as men’s soccer fell to the visiting Cal Lutheran Kingsmen by a 3-1 score Wednesday at Damien High School.

The volleyball team had a very successful weekend at the Leopard Invitational, winning all four of their matches to bring their overall record to 14-7.

The Leopard football team beat the Occidental Tigers, 30-21, in an away game to earn its first win of the season.

Boye Christiansen became restless with his normal routine, so he packed up his soccer ball, said goodbye to his family and traveled 5,000 miles away from his native Stavanger, Norway, to find a new stomping ground in La Verne.

Despite many chances in the offensive third of the field for the Leopards, they fell to the visiting Whittier Poets on Saturday by a score of 1-0.
