In Sunday’s road game at Memorial Field against Whittier, the baseball team showed why it is still the team to beat in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

The softball team played consecutive doubleheaders April 5 and 6 against Chapman and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.

The Leopards and the Sagehens played two completely different games during Saturday’s doubleheader. La Verne came out on top 6-1 in the first game, but Pomona-Pitzer came back and defeated the Leopards 15-4 in the second.

The baseball team won Saturday’s doubleheader against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps at Arce Field. The Leopards’ timely offense was the reason for the game-one win, 8-2, before taking the second, 8-7.

The softball team battled nationally ranked Linfield College Wednesday at Wheeler Park, but fell short in both games, losing the first game 9-0 and the second 6-1.

The women’s water polo team defeated Caltech 15-7 at Las Flores Park Friday. The game was the Leopards’ second game in the annual Claremont Convergence event.
