Senior DeAntwann Johnson took second place in the 110 meter hurdles at the SCIAC Track and Field Championships, held at Pomona-Pitzer on Saturday. Johnson, a movement and sports science major in his first year on the track team, is a transfer student from Long Beach City College and was excited to place in the meet.
Although the Leopards lost the first two games of the SCIAC Championship tournament, they finished their season strong with a win against Caltech 13-5.
The softball team’s long and difficult SCIAC season came to an end this weekend for the Leopards, going 1-2 with losses to Redlands and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and a win over Whittier.

Sometimes trying too hard does not work out well, which proved true Wednesday as the Leopards fell to the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Athenas by a score of 13-7 at CMS.
