Last year was a tough season for the Leopards football team, ending with a record of 0-9, part of an overall 11-game losing streak.

I hate being alone. No, really. Ask my friends, or look at their phones, which probably have 20 unanswered text messages at this very second. Now at 21 years old, I got lonely.


Coming off of a 4-15 record last year, the men’s soccer team is looking for a fresh start this season.

To say that Keith Lynch is the man behind the music of Unknown Component is an understatement. Lynch is the band’s only member; he writes the lyrics, plays all the instruments, records the vocals, mixes and masters the CDs and releases and promotes them himself.

With the beginning of a new year, dining services at the University of La Verne have adopted some changes as far as menu items, operating hours and methods of payment accepted at Davenport Dining Hall and Barbara’s Place.

The off-season is a time for rest and relaxation, but don’t tell that to the athletes at the University of La Verne who use the down time to work out daily and bond with teammates.


<i>Commentary</i>: A reflection on lessons learned

After being asked to apply numerous times, I finally gave in and volunteered 10 days of my cherished summer vacation to be a girls’ camp counselor in July.
