Tuition to rise to $35k for ’13-’14
Traditional undergraduate tuition will be raised another 4.9 percent for the 2013-2014 academic year, University officials announced last month.

Longtime LV Trustee Lowell Brubaker dies
Lowell Brubaker, a long-time University of La Verne Board of Trustees member, died at his home in Hillcrest in La Verne on Nov. 6 due to declining health. He was 94.
University names Devorah Lieberman as 18th president
Devorah A. Lieberman will be the University of La Verne’s 18th president, starting July 1, 2011. She will be the University’s first woman president, replacing Steve Morgan, who has held the position for 26 years.
Board of Trustees tackles diversity
The University Board of Trustees convened for the final time this year to discuss items such as the latest draft of the Strategic Plan for Diversity, and review findings from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges’ recent visit. The meeting took place at 8 a.m. on April 30.
Wheeler left mark on University, Church of the Brethren
Myrna Long Wheeler, respected alumna and trustee of the University of La Verne, died Jan. 9 at her home in San Dimas after fighting acute myeloid leukemia for several months. She was 70.
