Singles were able to toss away their worries of being alone and having no plans on Valentine’s Day because Singles Awareness Day, an event held by the Campus Activities Board.Organizers gave single students a chance to celebrate themselves and feel involved on the predominantly couple-oriented holiday.

With matching sea foam green T-shirts that read “Leotics – Welcome to the Jungle” The on campus group yelled creative chants and shook thunder sticks.

Boot camp gets students sweating

University of La Verne students practiced a healthy start to the year by participating in Fresh Start Fitness, a workout boot camp that took place Jan. 31 in the Campus Center Ballroom.

300 ‘Deathly Hallows’ tickets offered

Beginning Monday the Campus Activities Board and Associated Students of the University of La Verne will be giving out free tickets to the midnight showing of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1” that comes out on Nov. 19.

Magician Dan Sperry does not like performing card tricks. In fact, the only cards he uses in his show are to demonstrate an almost inappropriate poem about kings and queens that he said he wrote when he was 8 years old.
