Joy Song Thompson played the cello at “No Ordinary Women,” a Mother’s Day Celebration Concert in Morgan Auditorium Sunday. Thompson began playing at 12-years-old and studied at the Juilliard School. Jennahway Huerta Staff Writer More than 80 people gathered in Morgan Auditorium on Saturday to hear exquisite soprano Courtney Huffman and University of La Verne artist-in-residence and award-winning pianist Grace Xia Zhao.
