Groups lend helping hands to city

Volunteers Natalie Mendoza and Amber Lopez help paint the School of Art and Enterprise in Pomona Saturday. This was one of the nine volunteer activities that started at 8 a.m., as part of Pomona Beautification Day. Pomona honors Denim Day

Karla Rendon Arts Editor Mayor Elliot Rothman and City Council members Ginna Escobar and Debra Martin honored the city’s annual Denim Day Wednesday at the Pomona Civic Plaza.
