University administrators will launch phase two of the La Verne Experience – the sophomore experience – in the fall of 2014. The Sophomore La Verne Experience, or SOLVE, will essentially be a two-unit course centered around student involvement.

Due to the Freshman La Verne Experience program, freshmen said they were a little lost when it came to registering for classes this semester because they previously had an adviser do it for them.

University of La Verne freshmen biology students visited De Anza Middle School in Ontario to teach seventh- and eighth-graders about the different body systems and how they respond to different physical activity on Monday.

While the University of La Verne had an impressive increase in admitted students, that did not mean tuition was decreased. Instead it was increased 6.5 percent to $33,350 this year.
