Senior broadcasting major Loren Coronado’s hard work and talent has hailed national success from the Broadcast Education Associa­tion Media Festival as she took home third place for her self-produced promo.

The Columbia Scholastic Press Association awarded the Campus Times online publication for its excellence in content and design with a Gold Crown Award last month in the association’s annual contest.

Rob Fukuzaki, sports anchor for ABC 7 and University of La Verne alumnus, returned to deliver the keynote speech for Communications Day.

Recently completed renovations to Leo Hall, which have updated its aesthetics and made it accessible to students with disabilities have also evoked feelings of loss among some faculty.

In anticipation of the  spring  semester, communications department faculty have selected new editors in chief for both the Campus Times newspaper and the La Verne Magazine.
