La Verne alumna Charlene Marie King founded the Not Forgotten Project in 2008. She has traveled to stressed and destroyed communities in Missouri, Colorado, Mississippi, Louisiana and more to help rebuild homes after hurricanes and tornadoes. University hosts cardboard city
Robert Guzman, a Damien High School student, sleeps outside in a cardboard box for Pomona Valley Habitat for Humanity to raise awareness of the homeless. The event was hosted by the University of La Verne and held in the South Quad from Saturday night to Sunday morning.
