Homelessness is a huge problem in the United States. Thankfully, the number of people who are living on the streets in the United States has been declining for the past few years nationally, but this decline is not good enough for some Americans.

The University of La Verne theater department presented the powerful story of the “Flower Society,” inspired by true events of homeless people last week in the Jane Dibbell Cabaret Theatre.
The recently released report, “The State of Homelessness in Pomona” for 2013, found that through community support, the homelessness rate in Pomona has decreased 54 percent from 1,389 reported homeless in 2002, to 633 in 2013.
