Students and faculty gathered together and joined the Japanese Culture Club to see world famous Kyoko Kageyama perform a traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony April 18 in the Campus Center.

The Japanese Culture Club hosted its first Cherry Blossom Festival at Sneaky Park to celebrate the coming of spring and bring Japanese tradition to the University of La Verne Tuesday.

May 5 is usually thought of as Cinco de Mayo, but in Japan it is a national holiday called Children’s Day, which celebrates the happiness of children and expresses gratitude to mothers.
