LVPD searches for stabbing suspect

The La Verne Police Depart­ment is still searching for a suspect who apparently stabbed a 21-year-old woman resident of La Verne Wednesday. LVPD officers were called at 6:06 p.m. to Las Flores Park, where they found the woman with stab wounds to her upper body. Coiner remembers her father potting plants using a can opener to poke holes in old tin cans. Sally Coiner is the daughter of James Coiner who established the nursery in 1960.
