On Friday afternoon a brush fire broke out in La Verne near Broken Spur Lane above Baseline Avenue. The fire burned nearly 27 acres of land and destroyed at least one structure despite the efforts of firefighters on the ground and aircraft dropping water. Californian campaign delivers checkpoints
