Darth Vader and Boba Fett held hands as they walked down the sidewalk on D Street and collected candy from store owners.

The University of La Verne’s LVTV-3 Community Television public access station was recognized for its work with two first place awards and five finalists recognized at this year’s Western Area Video Excellence Awards earlier this month in San Jose.

Old Town La Verne’s annual trick-or-treating event included a visit from LVTV for its “Halloween Spooktacular” show.

Costumed trick-or-treaters of all ages have a chance to join the Halloween fun at a live taping of La Verne Community Television’s “Halloween Spooktacular 2010.”

Several student-made productions from LVTV-3 placed in the finals for the Western Access Video’s Excellence Awards which honor the best public access productions in the Western United States.

LVTV-3, La Verne Community Television, and the University of La Verne produced a winner and four finalists in the Alliance for Community Media’s Western Area Video Excellence Awards, known as the WAVEs.
