It was a fruitful weekend for the men’s and women’s track and field teams as they won three of four total competitions at Occidental on Saturday.

Johnson, a movement and sports science major in his first year on the track team, is a transfer student from Long Beach City College and was excited to place in the meet.
The men’s and women’s track teams took part in the 25th annual Pomona-Pitzer Invitational on Saturday where the men’s 4×400 team took first place, women’s 4×100 finished in fifth, and men’s 4×100 took third.
Track and field athletes excelled this weekend at the California-Nevada State Track and Field Championships held Saturday and Sunday at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.
The men’s track and field team placed third in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship meet as it concluded the two-day long event in Claremont, hosted by Pomona-Pitzer.
