Two out of three teams from the La Verne Debate Team advanced to the quarter finals of the George Washington Intervarsity Invitational at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. March 21 and 22.
During November, the La Verne Speech and Debate team was successful at numerous tournaments in England, Canada and Northern California.
Motivated by its recent international win in Canada, the debate team continued its successful streak, placing first in the UC Davis tournament this month for the second year in a row.
