The baseball team suffered a tough 5-4 loss to Pomona-Pitzer Sunday at Alumni Field in Claremont.

The softball team earned its spot in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Con­ference Postseason Tournament by winning a doubleheader over Pomona-Pitzer April 19 at Wheeler Park.

La Verne took the first game, 6-1, and the second game, 3-2.

The Leopards took a break from scoring competition Saturday at the Pomona-Pitzer Track and Field Invitational.

The Leopards and the Sagehens played two completely different games during Saturday’s doubleheader. La Verne came out on top 6-1 in the first game, but Pomona-Pitzer came back and defeated the Leopards 15-4 in the second.

After a tough match, nationally ranked Pomona-Pitzer snapped the women’s tennis team’s four match winning streak at the Claremont Club Friday.

Emotions and the score ran high for the Leopard seniors Monday, as the women’s basketball team beat Pomona- Pitzer on senior night, 111-69.

Despite an aggressive offense and multiple saves from the goalkeeper, the women’s soccer team lost its final match of the season to Pomona-Pitzer by 1-0 Saturday at Ortmayer Stadium.

The men’s soccer team faced another tough loss at Pomona-Pitzer on Saturday morning, getting shut out, 4-0.
