The women’s tennis team finished the season in fourth place in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Con­fer­ence after falling to Redlands, 6-3, in the third place match at the SCIAC Champion­ships May 4 at the Upland Tennis Club.

Senior Derek Zachman had a successful second and final season with the golf team which continued its winning streak, capturing its seventh consecutive league title at the 54-hole SCIAC Championships last month in Beaumont.

Cal Lutheran swept the Leopards in a three game series last weekend. The Kingsmen took game one 5-1, game two 4-2 and game three 7-1.

The softball team earned its spot in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Con­ference Postseason Tournament by winning a doubleheader over Pomona-Pitzer April 19 at Wheeler Park.

La Verne’s women’s water polo team lost to Cal Lutheran Wednesday at the La Verne Aquatics Center, 13-2, in their last Southern California Inter­collegiate Athletic Con­ference regular season game.
