Senior broadcasting major Loren Coronado’s hard work and talent has hailed national success from the Broadcast Education Associa­tion Media Festival as she took home third place for her self-produced promo.

Several student-made productions from LVTV-3 placed in the finals for the Western Access Video’s Excellence Awards which honor the best public access productions in the Western United States.

A video made by University of La Verne Commun­ications Department professors Mike Laponis, Don Pollock and Radio/TV Operations Manager Shane Rodrigues has won a prestigious Award of Excellence from the Broadcast Education Association.

Three professors in the University of La Verne communications department received an award of merit from the Accolade Awards for their film “City of La Verne,” produced for the 2009 Annual President’s Dinner Gala.

The Associated Students of the University of La Verne hosted the Lavernapalooza Club Fair and All-La Verne Picnic Sept. 2 for students, faculty, staff and parents of the University.
