Heartstop keeps beating

La Verne students’ hearts were abruptly stopped Wednesday – at least figuratively – when up-and-coming band Heartstop had to cut its Sneaky Park concert short Wednesday, as the surrounding classroom professors complained about the noise levels.

Paula Zepeda hands out boba during the CAB sponsored event “Make Your Own Boba” in Sneaky Park on Wednesday. Boba is a sweet drink mix of chai tea, milk and tapioca balls. The event was a hit, selling out in less than 50 minutes.
