The unveiling of new seat recognition plaques in Morgan Auditorium took place Thursday during a donor recognition concert featuring the Royals, an a cappella doo wop group.

As President Stephen Morgan finishes the final months of his 26-year presidency, he reflects on how he has changed the University of La Verne and how it has changed him.

As the year comes to a close, we are saying goodbye to President Steve Morgan, who has been leading the University of La Verne for the last 26 years. On July 1, President-Select Devorah Lieberman will take over and begin her presidency.

A host of speakers, friends and community members – many donning cowboy hats, bandanas and boots – showed up to bid a final farewell to the Morgans at the Western themed “Out the Door” Barbecue Saturday.

The Annual Faculty and Staff Recognition Ceremony was filled with laughs as the University community honored its employees for excellence and longevity of service last week in the Athletics Pavilion.

The final event for the dedication of Morgan Auditorium took place on Saturday and featured Ann and Steve Morgan opening the concert with gratitude speeches and the audience giving them a standing ovation.

Morgan Auditorium was filled with the smiling faces of faculty members from the University’s various disciplines Tuesday for Faculty Book Day.

Devorah A. Lieberman will be the University of La Verne’s 18th president, starting July 1, 2011. She will be the University’s first woman president, replacing Steve Morgan, who has held the position for 26 years.
