Leopards softball writes off Poets, splits with CMS
In the first game of a doubleheader against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, Athena first baseman Olivia Jacobs was safe after La Verne third baseman Candice Nunez overthrew the ball to Raven Freret at first base in the top of the fourth inning. The Leopards’ strong defense shuts out Whittier.
