The women’s basketball team kept the game close against the San Diego Christian Hawks Monday, but after an 18-0 run during the second half by the visitors, fell 80-64.
The banged up Leopard women’s basketball team made their first appearance at Frantz Athletic Court of the 2011-2012 season in a 75-72 loss to NAIA Linfield, dropping their second game in three days on Nov. 21.
Last season the women’s basketball team earned a berth to the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference postseason tournament and the second highest three-point shooting percentage in Division III, but this year has the makings of even greater success.
