What can I do with a major in...?

The truth is, you can do any job with almost any major. While some careers require you to receive specialized training to perform specific job tasks or to advance in the field, employers usually don't hire based on your major. They look for candidates who are willing to learn new skills, demonstrate strong work ethic, and are a good personality fit within their organization. They also take volunteer, internship and work experience into consideration.

Career Services believes that it is important that you find a major that interests you so that you are motivated to finish your degree and graduate. Remember, you are not "stuck" in a field just because you majored in it. View the links below to explore the majors offered at ULV and their corresponding career fields. Chances are, if you are interested in a particular major, you will be interested in its related careers.
