The bible makes us read wise words we consider to be THE Truth.
The central message in the Holy Book is to love. There is no other message. What is difficult to understand in this? Is it we want to play God in judging people who we think to be different. Different from what we think to be normal?
Jezus was considered no to be normal, because hè was telling an inconveniënt message: to love your neighbour.
Hè was crucified for it by people who where the keepers of what they considered to be official truth. Let us please learn from Jezus, niet from our personal limited mind. Peace is love.

Three cheers for the LaVerne Church's position on inclusiveness. Anyone who reads the gospels can see that it's one of Jesus's most ubiquitous practices/messages. So hang in there. I'm a Presbyterian and we've been dealing with the LGBT issue for 30+ years. Only now are we beginning to see major progress, as nay-saying congregations begin to withdraw from the PCUSA denomination. I encourage anyone interested in this issue to check out the website of EEWC-CFT, a vigorously inclusive organization of Christian Women & Men who support full equality for all, and can offer lots of info/links/support. See: http://www.eewc.com. Thanks.

Very nice article, but to withhold contributions to the ministry and ministry board because you don't like what Annual conference did is like refusing to pay your electric bill because you don't like the job your plumber did.
